Rebecca Evans, aka Sunflower Girl, is a native of California, where she served as an educator for twelve years prior to relocating to Savannah, Georgia to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). Rebecca has always focused her efforts and energy on positively contributing to children’s lives. Seeing a need in the marketplace for girls’ clothing that outlasts fast fashion and that represents a higher level of authenticity and artistry, Rebecca decided to embark on the journey of acquiring new skills in order to realize her mission and vision. Her nickname, “Sunflower Girl,” was given to her in high school by friends who viewed her as a tall girl with a smiling countenance, who seeks to brighten others’ days and to emphasize the positive in situations. A quintessential kid at heart, Rebecca enjoys sharing inspirations from her own childhood with today’s new generation by translating nostalgic themes into contemporary garments.
